A Six Mile Centennial Celebration
In 2010 a Centennial Committee was formed who worked diligently to create a historical walk through Six Mile. The Mayor, Town Council, and the Centennial Committee cordially invite you to come to the Community Room to view this display during regular office hours.
The panel groupings begin with the Six Mile community before 1910 and continue through the decades, emphasizing such subjects as the Six Mile Baptist Academy, Dr. Peek’s Hospital, the war years, school days, and firefighters.
Our Community Building is available for rent for your special occasion. The rent is $45.00 and a deposit of $40.00 is required. To reserve the room, the deposit must be paid at time of request. If you should cancel three weeks prior to the rental date, the deposit will not be refunded. After your event, the deposit will be refunded when the key is returned and room is checked to make sure it is in proper order.
